Physio band

Elastic resistance band

Training

Short definition

An elastic rubber band (physio band, resistance band) for strength and recovery exercises. Resistance increases with stretch.

Full definition

A physio band is an elastic latex or rubber band used as resistance in dynamic and isometric exercises, warm-ups and rehabilitation. Unlike free weights its resistance grows non-linearly with stretch (rubber load curve), so the load depends on the range of motion. In Samson-fit the implement's resistance profile is handled by the resistance_profile parameter axis, and band force is set as a kilogram-equivalent at a given stretch.

Examples

Physio band at 15 kg-equivalent, 3 sets of 15 reps.
