Eccentric (vibrobar unbalance)

Unbalance mass on the synchronization shaft

MIDA

Short definition

A mass with offset center of gravity: F_ecc = m·e·ω² — the main vibration source; a pair gives F₀ = 2·F_ecc.

Full definition

Two in-phase eccentrics (Ø62 mm, Ø12 shaft bore, thickness t = 4m/(ρ·π·(ز−Øshaft²))) rotate on the synchronization shaft producing a vertical unbalance force F_ecc = m·e·ω² (ω = 2πf); the pair yields F₀ = 2·F_ecc. Mass 100–1000 g each (reference 502.25 g → t = 22 mm); eccentricity e (r_off) of 1–10 mm is the main force control. Force transfers through five 1000901 bearings; excitation grows as ω² — the basis of the frequency sweep.

Examples

m = 502 g, e = 5 mm, f = 25 Hz → F₀ ≈ 6 kgf.
